Throughout the year, the George Washington University’s Multicultural Student Services Center (MSSC) hosts a variety of events that contributes to an environment that promotes cultural competency, inclusion, and social justice. The MSSC welcomes students, faculty, staff and alumni to explore, learn, embrace and share diverse identities and communities through our signature programs. All MSSC programs are open events.
Signature programs reflect our commitment to a campus climate that celebrates diversity and inclusion. Signature events provide great opportunities for students to apply the lessons learned in cultural history and heritage events whose focus is identity development, cultural curiosity, interest and affinity. MSSC events are open to the entire university community encouraging interaction, dialogue and inter-group communication.
Signature Events include the 9/11 Interfaith Vigil, Institute for Citizen Leaders, Interfaith Baccalaureate, King Week, Latino Leader Awards, MLK Awards, MSSC Block Party, MSSC Graduation Celebration, MSSC Thanksgiving Dinner, and National Coming Out Day.
