Ashley Fountaine

Ashley Fountaine, the Executive Director of Ethics and Compliance, is serving as Interim Director of the Office of Access and Opportunity. Ashley has been a leader in executing the action items stipulated in the university’s voluntary Office of Civil Rights Resolution Agreement and has a strong background in compliance in higher education to include operationalizing processes and structures to comply with regulatory responsibilities.

Ashley began her career in student conduct, specializing in Title IX compliance and investigations. Prior to joining GW, she served as the Academic Affairs and Policy Specialist for the Provost at the University of Connecticut (UConn). Ashley earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Communication Sciences and Master of Arts in Higher Education and Students Affairs at UConn and is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
