Disability Support Services
The George Washington University believes in the equality of people, the value of individual differences, and the boundless potential of the human spirit. To ensure full participation by everyone in the GW community, the University established Disability Support Services (DSS) in 1978. DSS assists students with disabilities to participate fully in university life so they may derive the greatest benefit from their educational experiences and attain maximum personal success. DSS became a part of the Office for Diversity, Equity and Community Engagement during the summer of 2012 and is integral to the mission of inclusive excellence.
